A delightful stay with charming atmosphere

I had an amazing time exploring the beautiful grounds and enjoyed the historical decor that added a charming touch to the stay. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, making my mornings even better. The friendly owners and attentive staff certainly enhanced the whole experience. the limited evening meal options could use some improvement as it required us to venture into town for dinner.

Pleasant Stay with Room for Improvement

Our one-night stay in the King Room was comfortable, but the welcome felt a bit lacking. A quick chat about the wifi issue would have been appreciated. The beautiful grounds and decent burger at the restaurant were highlights. Bring your salad if you want some greens!

Had a lovely stay in the King Suite with Balcony, where the cozy decor and beautiful gardens really set the mood. The spa area and garden lounge were perfect for winding down. Just wish the toiletries weren’t so limited for a place of this price, but overall, it was a great experience! 😊

Amazing stay with family vibes!

We had a lovely weekend with the whole family. The decor in the hotel is super pretty, and our room was really big with an awesome shower. The staff were super friendly and even helped us with our elderly relatives. Breakfast was tasty, but the bar area felt a bit cramped.

The Balcary House Hotel features beautiful period decor paired with modern comforts, making it a delightful retreat. The lovely gardens provide a serene environment perfect for a leisurely stroll, easily accessible for seniors like myself.

More seating options in common areas would be nice.

Staying at this hotel was quite pleasant overall. The decor was beautiful and the owners were lovely, making us feel welcome. there were some inconveniences regarding initial room allocation due to our dog, which affected our comfort slightly. The breakfast was delicious and definitely a highlight.

Had a fantastic stay with friends. We explored the nearby beautiful trails and enjoyed some of the best golfing spots, perfect for everyone in the group. The place has plenty of activities around, like fishing and cycling. The breakfast was hearty and the atmosphere was welcoming. Just be prepared for limited evening meal options, as you might need to head to town for dinner.

The only downside was the lack of a wardrobe in our room, which felt a bit odd and less convenient.

everything about this hotel was awsome, the owners were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms were really comfy n spacious. breakfast was freshly cooked just like i like it and served by nice staff. had a great time relaxing in the beautiful garden too. definitely the best place to stay in hawick!

It was just an excellent fit for a quick stopover in Hawick with good price value. The mattress in the King Room was really firm, which some might like, but it disrupted our sleep. Make sure to check the dining options in advance as they have limited choices.
